Nevermind the Pistols… It’s The Damned

I recently became enamored with The Damned. They rank in the hierarchy of 70’s British Punk with the The Sex Pistols and The Clash. They released Britian’s first ever punk album, Damned Damned Damned in 1977 and influenced a generation in doing so.

While The Clash lasted nearly ten years and The Pistols a mere 2, The Damned are still to this day touring and rocking fans young and old across the globe. The make-up has faded a bit and the crowds are less hostile but the spirit and energy that they became infamous for is just as prevalent as ever.
