The White Tie Affair: Pop done right.

Of all the bands I saw at Bamboozle this year White Tie Affair was by far the most surprisingly entertaining. I hadn’t heard much of them before last weekend but now that I have I’m fast falling in love. They’ve taken all of the good ideas that Fall Out Boy had and mixed it with old-school pop influences like Devo but given it a modern, mature twist. Their album “Walk This Way” is ten straight tracks of dancy, lighthearted, groovin pop that makes it hard not to get up and dance. The album cover has a picture of a flawless pair of women’s legs anchored by a classic pair of yellow Converse hi-tops, making reference to vintage pop and style the same way their music does. I can’t get that image out of my head so i searched it on the web and found that they sell it as an iPod or laptop cover at www.music-skins.com. I’m pumped to have TWTA displayed proudly on my iPod when i flash it for my friends to see. These guys are goin big places soon and I want to have every piece of limited edition merch possible so I’m def getting a skin for my laptop and iPhone and i suggest you do the same. Check em out at www.music-skins.com and make sure to pick up The White Tie Affair’s new album “Walk This Way” it’s a masterpiece of simplicity.
