pimps, players, and Paul Wall
That new Paul Wall joint ‘Diamonds Exposed’ with Chamillionaire is straight fire. I’ve always denied Eminem any real credibility cuz he reminds me of everything that’s wrong with middle-american white trash but Paul Wall is the real deal son. In a sea of generic southern crunk he spits original verses wit the swagger and flow of old-school Cash Money. I got to catch his set last week at the Fillmore and goddamn he killed it. He was gettin the crowd rowdy as hell like a real MC should. I feel like rappers these days are always slurrin their verses out of tune and stumblin around the stage depending mostly on their crew to fill in the gaps but Paul was puttin on a fuckin show gettin shit hype the right way. When he did ‘Grillz’ he was flashin his ice like havin 50 grand chillin in his mouf was nothin. Baller status, man. On my way outta the show feelin like there was still hope for hip-hop I was checkin out all the merch for sale in the lobby. I already have all the albums (‘Get Money Stay True’ still kills even though i been bumpin it for almost a year now) and the t-shirts were badass but all of em were three sizes too huge for a little homie like me. I saw some hot shit just as i was about to bounce out… an iPod skin with the ‘Get Money Stay True’ logo and a dope graphic. I didn’t want a shirt i would be swimmin in so i bought the skin and threw it on my iPod when i got back to the crib. The shit is sticky as hell (some kinda vinyl) but when I peeled it off to position it right it didn’t leave any mark or residue like a cheap sticker would. All my buttons work perfect and my shit looks fly as hell now. I checked out the website that the skin came from ( www.music-skins.com/paulwall ) and found out that they make em for EVERY generation iPod (classic, video, mini, nano, shuffle, itouch), iPhones, and even bigass ones for laptop covers. They also got skins for the Dipset crew (Jim Jones and Juelz), Wale, and a ton of street artists (LRG, Dave White) and rock bands with sick exclusive designs. It feels damn good pullin out my iPod on the street and flashin some hot shit that nobody seen before reppin my boy Paul Wall and it costs a fraction of what i’d pay for a platinum grill. Once “The Fast Life” comes out i’ll be jammin to that on my fresh lookin iPod like it ain’t no thang.
Holla at yo boy.
